4. Accounts and registration
To use My Meadow you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
Minor accounts: Users under 16 must have verified parental or guardian consent before using the Service. Accounts created by minors are held inactive until consent is received through our verified consent process. Parents or guardians may withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@cerberissium.com.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and payments
My Meadow offers both a free plan and paid subscription plans. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all purchases, handling billing, payment processing, invoicing, and sales tax compliance on our behalf. All purchases are subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Conditions.
- Free plan: Core habit tracking, garden, lists, and limited features at no cost.
- Free trial: New paid subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. No charge is made until the trial ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged.
- Monthly plan (Bloom): Billed at USD 7.00 per month.
- Annual plan (Bloom): Billed at USD 70.00 per year (equivalent to 2 months free).
- Rootkeeper plan: For licensed therapists and coaches. Pricing available at registration.
- Auto-renewal: Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible in the app under Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. There are no refunds on unused subscription periods.
- Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price changes via the email address on your account.
You agree to receive all invoices and receipts in electronic format. It is your responsibility to provide accurate payment and billing information.
6. Refund policy
As Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all transactions, refunds are managed by Paddle and are subject to Paddle's consumer terms.
- Refunds are provided at Paddle's sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis.
- Refund requests may be made within 14 days of a one-off transaction or within 14 days from the date a subscription was last renewed.
- If a subscription has been cancelled, there are no refunds for the unused remainder of the billing period.
- Paddle may refuse a refund request if there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
- If technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of the Service, your exclusive remedy is either replacement or refund of the price paid, as determined by Paddle.
- Sales tax refunds may be available if you are registered for sales tax in your country of purchase and contact Paddle within 60 days of the transaction.
- These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights in relation to products which are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose.
To request a refund, contact us at support@cerberissium.com or contact Paddle directly. We will not process refund payments to you directly — all refunds are handled through Paddle.
7. AI features and usage limits
Paid subscribers have access to an AI-powered personal guide. This feature is subject to a monthly usage allowance. When the allowance is reached the AI guide pauses until the start of the next billing month. The allowance resets automatically.
Instant feedback: When you complete a habit, an immediate response is generated locally from pre-built templates (this does not consume your AI allowance). A personalised AI-generated response may supplement or replace this message when available.
AI-generated responses are provided for personal support, encouragement, and reflection only. They do not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. See Section 11 (Medical Disclaimer) for important limitations.
8. The Grove and Rootkeeper features
The Grove allows you to connect with friends, family members, and professionals (Rootkeepers) for mutual support. When you connect with another user, you control what data is visible to them.
Rootkeeper mode is designed for licensed therapists, coaches, and other qualified professionals to view client habit progress between sessions. Important terms:
- Rootkeepers see only data that clients have explicitly chosen to share
- Clients may revoke data sharing at any time
- Rootkeeper accounts are for use by qualified professionals only — we reserve the right to verify credentials and suspend accounts that misrepresent professional status
- The Rootkeeper dashboard is a supplementary tool to support professional practice — it does not replace direct clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or the professional duty of care
- Cerberissium Pty Ltd is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of any professional advice, care, or decisions made by Rootkeepers using the Service
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems
- Transmit harmful, abusive, or offensive content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Rootkeeper features without appropriate professional qualifications
- Share, redistribute, or publicly display another user's shared data without their explicit permission
10. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and branding within My Meadow — including but not limited to the visual garden, guide characters, plant growth animations, wellbeing scoring system, and interface — is the intellectual property of Cerberissium Pty Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Content you create within the Service (your habits, tasks, journal entries, lists) remains yours. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
11. Medical and health disclaimer
The following features are provided for general personal wellbeing support and self-reflection only and must not be relied upon as professional health guidance:
- AI guide: Responses are generated by a language model for encouragement and reflection. They are not therapy, counselling, or medical advice.
- Wellbeing score: A numerical indicator based on habit completion patterns. It is not a clinical assessment, diagnostic tool, or measure of mental or physical health.
- Convergence alerts: Notifications when multiple signals decline together. These are pattern observations, not clinical warnings or diagnoses.
- Personal baselines and insights: Statistical summaries of your habit patterns. They do not constitute health assessments.
- Journal prompts and mood tracking: Tools for personal reflection. They are not clinical instruments or validated psychological assessments.
- Trigger and coping logs: Personal awareness tools. They do not replace professional mental health support.
- Rootkeeper features: Facilitate communication between you and your chosen professional. They do not replace direct clinical care, and the content displayed does not constitute a clinical record.
You must:
- Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical or mental health condition
- Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or experienced in the Service
- Contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately if you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency
Cerberissium Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any decisions, actions, or health outcomes arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on wellbeing scores, convergence alerts, AI-generated content, or any other feature of the Service. Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Service, including AI-generated content, wellbeing scores, insights, and baseline calculations. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cerberissium Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

- Health outcomes or emotional distress arising from use of or reliance on the Service
- Any actions or omissions by Rootkeepers or other professionals using the platform

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (through Paddle) in the three months preceding the claim, or USD 50.00, whichever is greater.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cerberissium Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service in violation of these terms
- Any content you create or share through the Service
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
- Any professional advice or care you provide through the Rootkeeper features (if you are a Rootkeeper)
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.
Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the billing portal to stop future charges.
16. Availability and changes
We aim to keep My Meadow available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app includes offline functionality that allows continued use during connectivity interruptions, with data syncing when connectivity returns. We may carry out maintenance, apply updates, or temporarily suspend the Service with or without notice.
We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time. We will notify subscribers of significant changes via email with reasonable advance notice.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
For users in the European Union, nothing in these terms affects your rights under EU consumer protection legislation, including the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
18. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must stop using the Service.
